As a voice teacher, I’ve taught everything from classical training to riffing. My absolute passion is filling the contemporary musical theatre pedagogy gap for young singers.

Hi! I’m Katherine, but you can call me Katie.

I’ve always been a tech nerd at heart.

It might be from growing up in the 90s, waiting patiently for the dial-up internet to connect with that all familiar buzzing and beeping. I would sit for hours in high school trying to figure out different HTML to customize my social media pages (Hello, MySpace. I miss you). Video editing always came naturally to me - I mean, SOMEONE had to edit those family videos with our cousins.

Fast forward to 2020. I recently switched districts after 10 years of teaching and interviewed in April 2020 on, you guessed it, Zoom. The start of the school year was rough. The kids didn’t know me and what I was capable of, we were in small groups of 20 or less at 12 feet apart and masked, and the kids just did NOT sing. At all. I was basically performing for them every day to get even a decibel out of them.

Once I started to really get to know them, I decided to show them who I was and what I do - on TikTok. At first, it was a funny way to show them what I ordered from Starbucks or behind the scenes of teaching. Then it evolved into me scouring my FYP for trends I could turn into choir warm ups to help them get singing. Parents got to see what we were doing in the classroom during hybrid teaching. When we started going viral, the rest is history!

A true “middle millennial”, I love learning all new things technology and social media based. As an Enneagram Type 3, I won’t stop working until my students and clients get the results that we both know they worked for.
